BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the North American Wensleydale Sheep Association is open to any person, family or corporation who owns, breeds, or is actively involved in establishing purebred Wensleydale sheep, and to everyone who has an interest in supporting the development and promotion of the breed in North America.

Interest in membership is growing rapidly, primarily from breeders anxious to join the upgrading program and from fiber enthusiasts who look forward to having high quality Wensleydale wool available in North America.

The Charter members and Board of Directors are delighted with this response and feel that those who support our efforts should find benefit in their continued membership.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS - spinners, weavers, crafters and others interested in support the efforts of the Association.

We appreciate the enthusiastic support of our associate membership and the Board of Directors has encouraged its active producer-members to give associate members priority status for purchasing fleeces. Many of our breeders have waiting lists for their fleeces, and it is hoped that they will consider fellow NAWSA members before selling to those who are not members. Active members who offer fleeces for sale are indicated on the Member Roster page.

Custom Member Websites

Do you wish you had a web presence but don’t know how to go about it? Now all active NAWSA members may have their own web page hosted at the Association’s web site. You do not have to purchase an independent domain name or contract with a hosting service.

Your customers will find you at www.WensleydaleSheep.org/YourFarmName. This is the address that you will want to include on your business cards, farm signs, email signatures, and all other advertising. You can register this name with search engines in order to be found on the internet.

Your web page will be part of our managed site rather than a true personal web site, and the NAWSA web designer will make requested changes to your page during the year (for a fee).

A basic template design will be used, your choice of colors. You may avoid data entry charges by submitting your text via email. Links and tables are included.
Scan & optimize hard copy photos - up to 10 per site	$15 each
Photos sent via email	$5 each
Convert your existing logo to web format	$25
Requested web page changes during the year	$1/minute
To minimize charges, you may email replacement text that may be quickly inserted on the page. Change-out or additional photos are subject to the photo charges above.
